We take great pride in keeping an up-to-date list of all available kittens and cats in our care.

Often times the cats we have in our care come in as strays, therefore we do not have as much information on them as we'd prefer, but we do our best at listing every possible detail we do have on them.

Hi there, I’m Mama Mia!
And let me tell you, I am one sweet girl! I’ve been at the shelter since June 2023, starting my journey as a stray with my babies. At first, I was pretty scared of people and not very friendly with the volunteers. But thanks to their patience and kindness, I’ve really blossomed!

It might take me a little time to warm up and trust my new human, but once I do, I promise to be your best buddy with just a bit of patience! I now love being petted and will come right up to the volunteers for affection. Sometimes, I might even let you rub my belly!

I can be a bit chatty, especially when I want attention or it’s feeding time, so be ready for my adorable kitten-like meows! I don’t mind being around other kitties, but dominant or aggressive cats can scare me, so if there’s another cat in the home, they should be laid-back and sweet like me. I think dogs might be a bit intimidating, as they’re so big and loud compared to little me!

I’m also sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements, so a home with teens or older would be best for me. If you’re looking for a loving companion who just needs a little time to feel safe, I would love to meet you!

This playful boy enjoys wand toys but prefers to observe the other felines rather than interact closely. He values his personal space, so we believe he would be happiest in a home where he is the only cat—or with a completely docile companion. Given his gentle nature, Night would not do well in a home with young children or active dogs.

Hi, I’m Wanda—though my friends call me Wally! I made my way to the shelter after a daring escape from the Orillia Walmart Garden Centre (hence the nickname "Wally") in Winter 2023 when I was just 5 months old. I was quite the escape artist and it took the volunteers some time to catch me. But hey, that just shows how clever I am!

I was initially very shy around humans, though my curiosity about what they were up to was undeniable. I watched as they petted other kitties, and I was intrigued. Now, I’ve discovered how wonderful petting can be and I absolutely LOVE it! While I’m still a bit skittish at times, I’ll roll over and give you an upside-down look, reaching out for pets. Just a heads up—I’m still figuring out how I feel about belly rubs, but head scratches? Yes, please!

I’m a playful and social kitty who adores other felines. I’d do best in a home with teens or adults, as I find young children a bit too loud and energetic. I’m not sure about dogs since I haven’t met any yet, but I might get along with older, quieter dogs.

When this beautiful boy and his 8 comrades came to their shelter they were so scared and fierce we nicknamed them 'pinballs'. This boy is now so affectionate. He will study you, wait for you to sit on the floor, then will come rub up on you, head butt you and purr like there will be no tomorrow. He is a definite lover and you will often find him nuzzled and grooming other kitties. You can tell Jaguar apart from the other black cats in his room as his whiskers have a unique white/grey towards the base of the whisker transitioning to a solid black. He is a true sweetheart! The name's Devlin, and I'm a pretty chill dude! I've got a crooked ear that the volunteers think likely came from fighting on the street before I was brought to the shelter, but I think it just adds to my character! I also sometimes make a funny snore/snort noise when you pet me and I purr.
It has taken me some time to open up and trust the volunteers, as I can be very nervous at first but now I love a good chin scratch and head pat. Sometimes even belly rubs! I tend to retreat back to my safe "hidey hole" when I'm nervous but I have been coming out way more often now that I'm comfortable here at the shelter! I love other kitties and am often found cuddling with other boys in my room but I'd likely also be okay on my own! I'm not too sure about dogs though. I'd prefer a quiet home with no young kids as sudden movements and loud noises can startle me and send me into hiding. If you've got a little bit of patience for me to fully trust you, I would totally become your best buddy!

I sometimes hide in my room here at the shelter, when a volunteer comes into my room and takes some time to get to know me, I am all over them showering them in love. I can be a little hesitant initially but I just want to make sure you are coming to me with good intentions. Loud noises are not my favourite so a quieter and calm home would suit me best. This is such a new type of environment for me so having cats in my surroundings is not my most favourite thing but I am slowly adjusting.

Are you looking for a calm, senior girl to cuddle you all day and night? I'm your girl! I'm Tinsel, and I am just SO sweet I'll make your teeth ache! I don't have a mean bone in my body and just ooze love to anyone I can show it to! I am approximately 9 years old and when I came to the shelter I was very skinny and drank a LOT of water. As it turns out; I have Diabetes, but it sounds much worse than it actually is! I require daily insulin shots in the morning and evening but I am VERY good with taking them. Usually my foster mama does them while I'm eating my breakfast/dinner and I don't even notice! I also require special "Dietetic" food (that you can buy from your vet!) and should be given more wet food than kibble. Even with my Diabetes, I can still live a long and great life, and there is even a possibility for me to go into remission and not need the insulin shots anymore! If you are retired or have a schedule that would work with my insulin schedule (every 12 hours) and you want a super sweet, cuddle-buddy, please give me a chance!
I get along okay with other kitties but I do much prefer people over cats and I probably wouldn't be very cuddly with them - just my human! I think I would be okay with a calm/senior dog that wouldn't be in my face all the time. I'd prefer a home with no kids though, as I would like to live out my golden years in a quiet, calm environment. I am a short hair, white and grey, spayed female who was born December 2014.

BONDED WITH OAKHEART
Lalu has become the matriarch of the kitty family here at the shelter. Lalu came to the shelter back in 2012 at which time she had displayed a very unfriendly demeanor. As we do not give up on any cat, we allowed Lalu to be content with her own space where she has gradually grown to appreciate gentle pets and love from the volunteers. She was adopted with one of her buddies but after a short while returned as her buddy wasn't doing well in the home. Lalu loves the other cats so much that you can often find her snuggled up or twining tails with her kitty buddies. May 2022 Lalu suffered a stroke which caused some balance issues and a head tilt. These days she is good with her balance but the head tilt still remains, it is like her signature look and does not impede her daily life. She is extremely passive and will allow some of the other cats to bud in and eat her food. She cannot be an only pet, if you are interested in adopting this beautiful and loving lady, we would highly recommend that she go to a home with one of her pals such as Riva or Rogue.

My favorite toys can be found at the Dollar Store—string toys with feathers or fluff at the end, cat tunnels, springs, and those track toys with balls that spin when I paw at them. Playing with the string toy is my absolute favorite! Though I'm not very snuggly right now, my foster mom thinks I'll become more affectionate once I'm settled in my own home with a consistent person, I will sometimes cry if I can't find my people, so just a gentle call of my name will make me feel better. I've been lovingly fostered with a respectful eight-year-old child (who I prefer not to engage with much), two older cats, and two dogs. Hi, I'm Fidget!
Why "Fidget"? Because I never stay still! I'm constantly running around playing, the volunteers swear I never run out of energy! If you need a hyper, high energy pal, I'm your guy! (I hope you can keep up with me!) I don't mind being held short term, but I will start to get fidget-y and meow to be let down when I'm over it. And when I'm finally tuckered out and ready for a nap, I'll probably curl up near you or on your lap! I absolutely HATE being confined, especially in a cage or carrier, as I will panic and cry to get out, trying my hardest to squeeze through any hole I could possibly escape from. So, you may need to spend a bit of time harness/leash training me for vet visits.
I'm currently not a big fan of big kitties, I get very hissy and growly when I'm around them, sometimes I will even try to act big and intimidate the bigger kitties (most of them don't see me as very threatening though..) but that may change with some time! I get along with kittens my own size though, so you might have to get me a buddy thats the same age as me! I probably wouldnt really like dogs either, they are too big and scary for me. If you have energetic kids that will play nice with me, I would be a perfect addition to your family! I am a short hair, all black, male who was born November 2023.
